Once you understand the basics of cannabis edibles, you’ll see that they’re not so tricky to master! We recently explored the process of infusing butter and oil, and learned that with a little bit of patience and know-how, there’s just no limit to the cannabis kitchen.
Here are six of our favorite infused recipes and inspirations to bookmark for a rainy day: breakfast, munchies, and oh, the sweetest endings…
1 - Dutch Cannababy

How fun is it to say “Cannababy?!” This beautiful dish is deceptively simple to pull together. Topped with infused cannabutter or whipped cream, it makes for a sweet and dreamy brunch time treat.

2 - Dosed Dilly Pickle Fries & Garlic Aioli
These dosed dilly pickle fries involve many steps, but the payoff is totally worth the effort. The infusion actually happens in the condiment: garlic aioli. Good thing, because we promise you won’t be able to resist polishing off every last pickle. (So dip responsibly!)
Recipe adapted from Bites on a Board by Anni Daulter (with 2 tablespoons infused extra virgin olive oil used in the aioli).
3 - Not-so-basic Deviled Eggs
Deviled eggs are usually the first appetizer to go at a gathering. That said, you’re going to want to put a “Contains Cannabis” sign on this platter! These little devils are made with an infused mayonnaise, using 1 tablespoon (or more as needed) of cannaoil in the filling. They’re likely to be the most delicious (and memorable) deviled eggs you’ve ever tasted.

4 - Caramels with Pistachio and Fleur de Sel
These fancy caramels are the perfect take-a-long treat. So rich and buttery, and best served room temperature. Bonus, they slice so nicely, you can easily cut each caramel to your ideal dose.

5 - Botanical Shortbread Cookies
If you’re a foodie, you’ve probably seen Lori Stern’s flower-topped shortbread cookies on instagram at least once. We just had to try our hand at an infused version of these beauties. Use a selection of edible flowers and herbs such as: violas, calendulas, bachelor buttons, nasturtiums, lavender, chamomile, rose, rose geranium, mint, rosemary, lemon thyme, fennel fronds, and of course… cannabis leaves.
This video shows you exactly what to do.
*Note: the recipe calls for 3 sticks of butter; we used one cannabis-infused stick and two non-infused sticks.
6 - Ooey-gooey Sweet n’ Salty Canna Brownies
We had to end with a classic brownie! So many recipes to choose from….
We went for a dense, fudgy brownie from Martha Stewart, full of our favorite goodies—peanut butter cups, chocolate covered caramels and salted pretzels. Sweet and salty, decadent and over the top-- but that’s what you’re craving, right?
When baking with cannabis it’s important to reduce your oven temperature (and increase the baking time) to preserve THC potency. With brownies, that adjustment tends to work out well.
