Join us to "OutLove Hate" with OnePULSE

Following the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, on June 12, 2016, when 49 people, a majority of whom were LGBTQ and Latinx, lost their lives, owner of the bar, Barbara Poma, knew she wanted to memorialize the location, and the 49 victims, forever. So she founded OnePULSE, a nonprofit that, along with the help of LGBTQ celebrities like Ricky Martin, is raising $49 million in order to fund a permanent memorial for the victims of what is the second deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The money will also go to educational and community programming, as well as 49 annual college scholarships for LGBTQ students.

Curaleaf is proud to partner with OnePULSE this Pride Month. In select states, we will be donating $1 from every sale of our Pride pre-rolls and batteries to the organization. Pride pre-rolls will be sold in AZ, FL, MA, MD, ME and NV, and the batteries will be available in MI, IL, ND, NY, and Provincetown, Massachusetts. We’ll also be collecting donations at all Curaleaf locations nationwide during the month of June, with the option to donate directly online as well at https://onepulsefoundation.org/donate. If you give $20 or more, you’ll receive a limited edition pin commemorating this landmark campaign, while supplies last (with the exception of donations in ND, AR, MI, PA, IL, and UT).

Beyond donations, Curaleaf will hold a moment of silence on Saturday, June 12 at 2:02pm EST honoring the 49 lives taken at 2:02am inside Pulse nightclub in 2016. We welcome any- and everyone to join us in this time of solace, community, and healing.

Year-round, Curaleaf shows its commitment to the LGBTQ community through QUSH, an employee resource group whose mission is to support and uplift the queer community through education about queerness and allyship within our organization and beyond. We understand it is up to us to educate our organization, and others in the industry, about causes impacting the queer community, which is why the QUSH group will be hosting an internal educational event with Leah Shepherd, chief operating officer of the OnePULSE Foundation.

This month, we’re highlighting the diversity and individuality we celebrate 365 days a year at Curaleaf.
