Until there’s a cure | Let’s help breast cancer patients feel better

According to the American Cancer Society, one out of every eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. In 2020 alone, 2.3 million women worldwide were diagnosed with breast cancer, and 685,000 died.

As sobering as these numbers are, they do nothing to describe the challenges of fighting the disease with radiation or chemotherapy – the pain, the nausea, the lack of energy, loss of income, and time away from family. When the disease advances to the point where mastectomy is the only option, the physical and emotional pain is unimaginable. No matter how much love and support a woman receives from her family and friends, no one can truly understand what she’s going through unless they’ve experienced their own breast cancer journey.

That’s where Impact One comes in.

Founded by a breast cancer survivor frustrated by the lack of compassion she received from her healthcare facility, Impact One is “dedicated to improving the quality of life for female breast cancer fighters.” Instead of generic flyers and clinical information sheets, Impact One sends free “Hope In a Box” care packages to breast cancer patients all over the country.

What’s in a “Box of Hope?”

In addition to compassionate education from survivors, healthcare professionals, and caretakers, each box contains a customized assortment of products carefully chosen to support each recipient’s breast cancer journey. Why and how are we fundraising for Impact One?
