For Breast Cancer fighters, survivors, and their loved ones, “awareness” isn’t a one-month thing—it’s a life-long thing. At Curaleaf, we respect that. We know what a pink ribbon represents, but we also know it doesn’t provide an automatic fix for people living with this debilitating disease in the here and now.
It’s for this very reason that we’ve turned our focus towards contributing to the communities we serve, making an actionable difference today. Together, our collective contributions have the potential to make life a little bit easier for someone battling Breast Cancer on the daily.
So, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're selling exclusive pre-rolls with an iconic pink-hued filter in each state we operate. (Note that New York dares to be different; they’ve got pink pens instead!) A percentage of each state’s sales will support these Breast Cancer-focused non-profits at the local level, keeping the positive impact close to the community at hand.
Here’s a breakdown, state by state, of the organizations your purchases will benefit:
Impact One Breast Cancer Foundation
Impact One Breast Cancer Foundation provides prompt support and resources to those impacted by breast cancer. Their vision is to alleviate the burden experienced by women during breast cancer treatment and recovery by offering prosthesis, bras, wigs, and post-surgical garments.
Connecticut Breast Health Initiative
This organization’s mission is simple: to make a difference locally in the fight against breast cancer through education and research. This state-wide non-profit has been making a significant impact on the quest to find a cure since 2005.
The Badges of Courage Foundation will provide financial assistance to patients who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and are in treatment. The organization’s main goal is to give these women tranquility and hope at a time when they need it most.
Pink & Teal is a healing movement fueled by the strength of sisterhood and survivorship, inspiring thousands to support the fight against cancer and giving hope to survivors across the region.
For over 15 years, You Can Thrive! has worked to make a lasting difference in the lives and outcomes of people diagnosed with cancer. This organization’s holistic approach represents a new era in healthcare, providing the relief, hope and access that is missing in the current paradigm.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
This extremely active group organizes multiple fundraisers and community events to raise money for awareness, treatment, and to celebrate survivors! Curaleaf Maine is ready to make strides against breast cancer in the Brunswick area.
Curaleaf Maryland is proud to support The Red Devils, an organization that provides services and support for both the patient and their families. Patients and families can turn to the Red Devils for transportation, family support and medical/treatment related services.
The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition
MBCC advocates for increased resources to investigate environmental links to breast cancer that are present as a result of mammary carcinogens found in our air, water, soil, food, and consumer products in our homes and workplaces every day.
Ink Ribbon Foundation is dedicated to helping cancer survivors heal through beautiful scar cover up tattoos or 3D nipple tattoos.
We’re proud to offer our pink pre-rolls as just one small way to help the local effort within each Curaleaf community we serve. For more information on your state’s specific Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives for the month of October, contact your closest Curaleaf Dispensary.
