Blazing the Way Forward: Women-Owned Cannabis Brands to Support All Month Long

As we reflect during Women’s History Month through the lens of our favorite plant, women have always played a critical role. Not just the women in our history, but the ones currently making it.

From the early legalization advocates to the nurses, marketers, product developers, and more who are now joining the industry, it’s never been more apparent how the future of cannabis is female. (Even the plant we smoke is female!)

Not to mention, women are now the fastest-growing demographic of cannabis consumers, outpacing the growth of male consumers in what has been a largely male-dominated industry. It only makes sense that women-owned brands who know how to create products for, speak to, and answer the needs of other plant-loving women should be coming to the forefront!

What can we do to support them?

We can amplify, uplift, and shine a light on the incredible women-led brands that have been created by amazing entrepreneurs in spite of the statistics. Because they saw women’s needs not being met, and they knew they could answer them in a way only women truly know how.

We at Curaleaf are lucky to partner with some amazing women-owned brands you can find on our shelves at various dispensaries that we’ll be highlighting this month, but we also encourage everyone to shop directly from their sites and support a more equitable future of cannabis with women leading the way.

With that, let’s meet the women!

Sackville & Co.

Sackville & Co. is a contemporary cannabis brand designed by women who like to smoke weed. Flower by Edie Parker

Dubbed “the Coco Chanel of Luxury Cannabis" by Forbes, Brett Heyman’s Flower by Edie Parker ushers in a new generation of cannabis smokers with an irreverent and unapologetically bold collection of design-forward accessories and cannabis accoutrements. Colliding the worlds of fashion and cannabis “for a good time,” Flower by Edie Parker continues to break barriers and destigmatize the use of cannabis as a social act.
